Everyday, this lady will pick her son up after school. But to the boy, it was an insult. Many wonders why? The reason was simple, the boy's mum has an eye missing. She was partial blind, to many, her face was disfigured, awfully ugly. The boy was teased by his classmates, from young to teenage life, all the way till his university. He hates his mum picking him up from school, but the more he resist, the more his mum insist to pick him up after school.
For years, the mum never failed to pick him up after school, and for years he was teased by his classmates, his friends, his peers. Until when he grew old, he migrated to another country and had his own family.
One day, his mum came over to visit him and his family together with his newborn baby boy. Most of you would have expected, like father like son, his son couldn't stop crying when he saw the disfigured grandmother. So he started scolding his mum, blaming her for scaring his son, blaming her for all the insults he has to bear in school, blamed for her been different from other people's mum, blamed her for sending him to school everyday, and blamed her traveling here to visit him.
The mum didnt blame him, smiled and left. As age started to catch up with her, she became rather immobile, bedridden. Too old and sick to move, she couldn't visit her son nor contact him. Hence she passed away shortly after that. There was this letter, in her drawer, meant for her son.
It reads: Son, all this years, you have been blaming me for everything. But as your mother, i don't blame you for i love you. You are my only son, even if you hated me, i'll shower my love on you unconditionally. To me, my eye isn't important because i'm old. But for you, you have a bright future, you're still young. How will people look at you if you had only one eye? So i donated my eye to you for i love you.
Love, mum
